As part of the exhibition “Tra il bianco e ll nero (Between Black and White)”, Lab27 will host a meeting on Sunday, November 17, at 4:30 PM with Gianluca Eulisse, head of FAST – Treviso Historical Photo Archive.
The meeting offers an opportunity to learn more about the work of an institution in the province of Treviso dedicated to the preservation and promotion of the city’s historical and photographic archive. Even more, it invites reflection on the meaning and opportunities that such a heritage offers for study, knowledge, memory, and planning. Today, more than ever, countless images are being produced, and both society and the individual eye are inundated by them. This meeting encourages reflection on our relationship with images, photographs, and their perception and representation.
FAST is responsible for the preservation of photographic materials in accordance with current regulations, as well as for cataloging and digitization; public consultation and reproduction of images; collaboration with external institutions regarding the conservation, cataloging, and reproduction of photographic collections; and the organization and management of exhibitions and publications.
