Lab27 is hosting a special event on November 19 dedicated to social photography, as part of the Sunday opening (from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM) of the exhibition In mezzo all’immensa steppa. It will be an opportunity to discuss together what drives us to engage with and document urgencies and vulnerabilities in contemporary life, reflecting on the meaning of living together. There will be space to talk about and view your ideas, projects, and motivations.
The roundtable will take place with Cecilia Patrizzoli (creator and founder of Italy Photo Award) and Andrea Bianco, founder of Lab27 and recent winner of the 2022 Premio Voglino for photographic culture in Italy. The award made possible the publication of DACHA, a diary documenting the long story of a family home in Kyiv that supports young oncology patients and their parents, including the words of its founder, Natalia Onipko.
There will also be an opportunity to explore some books from the library and observe a range of possible approaches to social storytelling on paper. Free entry, we start at 4:30 PM—see you there!
